Insatiable Greed and Unquenched Need

Clawing need deep inside,
Burning like charcoal,
Smothering yet burning,
Crushing up and down relentlessly,
Inescapable, virtual, yet true.

Voice of Youth

Youth of Bangalore in association with the Roots in Kashmir, KHS, VHP & J&K Youth organized a Protest against the Human right violations in Kashmir against minorities, Anti National & Pro Pakistan Campaign in Kashmir & the call of separation of Kashmir from India.
This crusade was to wake up the people of the nation. It was a calling to the people of India, if, as, "True Indian" the people have the courage to stand up for what is right & defend India from splitting up. Whether the people have the courage to raise their voice against such radicals & fanatics. It has happened with Hindus in Kashmir, it can happen in any other part of India tomorrow. The movement by the residents of Bangalore came as a great shot in the arm for the fundamentalist who are demanding a separate home land. Residents of Bangalore had done similar protest on 6th.July & 15th. August, which was covered widely.
The Protest had Audio Visual Videos on the terrorism spreading its roots across the nation, with the clippings of the recent Bangalore Blasts too. The protestors had placards in their hands chanting “Jai Bharat” & high pitch slogans appealing to the Government to take the Anti National Elements & Terrorists to task. They also appealed that ban should be put on all the anti national groups like SIMI. Protestors also blasted the J&K Government for manipulating, manhandling, the issue & the people, their voices & feelings. The voices were raised & echoed to defend India from splitting up, & the protestors called for the demand of Kashmiri’s for a separate homeland as a hoax, & a misinformation & tarnishing campaign against India. The act of burning Indian National Flag, shouting of Anti Indian Slogans & Pro Pakistan Slogans was called out as dastardly & cowardly act by the people of Kashmir.
Our protest is against the unjust demand of the separatists forces in India. We vehemently oppose any kind of realignment of Kashmir land on the basis of religion. We Bangalore youth also stands up together against the fear psychosis created by militant group like SIMI. We condemn it SIMI-a bunch of mentally sick fanatics creating Havoc! The local people in Kashmir is being swayed away by local Muslim leaders like Malik, Geelani, Mufti Syed, Abdullah & others. We would not want anymore partition of our motherland on communal lines. Partition of Land is not a solution & out of question totally.
Indian should no more open gates to Afghanis & Pakistanis, who are hell bent to create chaos & wreak havoc all over India. Talking about the PoK, it is also not stable, there is more upheaval and unrest in PoK & Pakistan than in India. Our protest is not against any particular religion but against the gross injustice happening in the valley. Valley people are at the militant’s mercy.

Few questions which arise in our minds are:
 Should we let Kashmir “The Paradise on earth” to go??
 A terror threat by the Kashmiri muslims-should we sit numb and bow down before their unjust demand??
 Should we repeat history and donate Kashmir??
 Is Punjab-Assam-Hyderabad-Delhi on the list of separation from India??
 Aren’t the Jihadi maniacs creating havoc on communal lines??
 What’s the correct way out of the mesh of jagged wires??
 India should take a stern stand against the terrorists & Pakistanis??
 Should division of land happen on communal lines??
 Have Kashmiri’s seen the condition of PoK??
 What about the 5 Lakh Kashmiri Hindus who were thrown out of their own land??

The protestors suggested a 4 point formula to improve the state of affairs in the nation & to counteract terrorism:
1. All Terrorists outfits like SIMI should be banned & busted.
2. POTA & TADA should be reintroduced & strict actions should be taken against those found guilty.
3. Plug the loop holes in the intelligence, & bust all terror plots before they succeed in killing the people.
4. Instill a sense of security amongst the people.

Adopting the 4 point formula will ensure that the citizens can have a sense of security, & not the one of getting targeted every now & then. The protesters comprised of women & children, holding the placards & the posters against the terror attacks in Bangalore, Ahmadabad, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi & elsewhere in India. These radicals are attacking us at will, without any respect for life. The protest continued for 90 minutes, & there was heavy slogans shouting to warn the hardliners & wake up the sleeping Government. The protest was concluded by Candle lighting in the memory of those who laid their lives for the just cause. The people demanded that India should bust terror plots. The movement was peaceful but had its own inner strength, content and continuity and within the tenants of a legal frame work.
Lets forge a solidarity that’s like the Himalayas majestic/noble/dignified and composed. We love our Motherland! Lets not divide it anymore! Lets respect our freedom fighters and martyrs who have given their live for the freedom of India and preserve our nation our freedom! Kashmir was, Kashmir is and Kashmir will be part of India, we won’t approve of any call for separation nor of national disintegration!

Fast Life

Life is so serene so beautiful, Ever sat back & thought about the beauty around us. Everything around us is God's Creation. His creation can't be shabby or bad, except if we have tampered with God's Creations. God kept the whole nature, its resources, & all livestock at the disposal of humans. Yet humans have this insatiable, unquenched desire for more. It is very basic to their humane character. We have a need a craving for the things that we dream of & desire. Not just that we all want these things fast, if possible now, with just a snap of the finger. We are willing to sacrifice whatever it takes to reach to the crux of our desires.

Life for us moves in the fast lane. Reach to the office fast, have breakfast fast, finish the assigned work fast & leave the office fast. Get up fast to catch the office cab, bus or train. Everything for us, “humans” happens only in the fast lane, there is no other road to tread. So much are we engrossed in our fast paced life that we forget to ignore the beauty around. The butterfly sucking the nectar out of the flowers, the kids dancing in the rain, the flowers along the way smiling & giggling, the people looking you in your eye, with a tinge of smile on their cheeks, & gleam in their eyes. Did you ask yourself, when was the last time you drenched in the rain, purposely? When was the last time you called up on your distant relatives, to say a simple “hi”, & ask their welfare? When was the last time you offered the kids playing in the park some candies, they coming jumping & hopping towards you, to relish the candies. When was the last time you looked back at the best times in your life, remembered the school days, college friends & the people you met on the way, whom you forgot, so easily. When was the last time you saw a movie that you really wanted to see? When was the last time you read a book that was long overdue to be flipped? You somehow forgot or skipped to do all this while in this race for getting to your golden chariot that will eventually take you to your Grave. The escorts of death taking you to your penultimate final destination, heaven or the hell!! Was it all worth it? The slogging the sacrifices the rat race. Perhaps it was because it gave you worldly & materialistic satiation. Perhaps that humanly feeling was much more than the ecstasy of all the beauty around & inside you. Perhaps these worldly & materialistic possessions overrode the other ecstasies & happiness. The things that you wanted to really do. But because the circumstances were adverse, or for some other reason, these were like unachievable targets to you.

To get to the top fast. To survive there with full enthusiasm & motivation. To beat the others standing in the way of your success. All are running in just one direction, apart from the exceptions who tread life the way they want to. This is the rat race. It is a fact that when the rat holes flood, all the rats move to a safer place. All of them pushing, shoveling, trampling, running like hell to save their lives, all moving unanimously in one direction. This scene is just synonymous to how humans lead their lives. Only exception being that their lives don't get flooded all at the same time, yet they keep on running, running & running. Running for their lives & livelihood. For someone the grand prize at the end of the rate race is bread & the butter, for someone it is luxuries, & for someone it is the royalties. They all are robotic in their approach, following the same mundane & exhaustive routine everyday, to achieve the things that are quintessential to them.

I ask, Why such a rush, Time is short & hell lot of things to do. People can do what they want to do in the slot of 24 hours that they have. That does not necessarily mean that you have to sacrifice you 8 hour cozy sleep. That may or may not give you what you crave for, but will surely give you a nervous breakdown. CEO's of big companies, the President's of countries can do it efficiently & effectively, because they have the commanding power to delegate. Delegate the responsibilities, & make each person credible & responsible four the task assigned, this is how the Pyramid of hierarchy works. More so the art of delegating is not completely attributed to the person, but to the chair, the position & the designation the person hold. It is this position that empowers him or her to do what they want to do. The question now is that how do we find the time to do what we have procrastinated till now, or what we always wanted to do. But, could not because of our fast paced life. Here the prioritization comes in picture. Prioritization can help us to achieve whatever we want in life. If we prioritize out tasks & our day, then we can be at ease, & still be able to manage most of our work. If not so, we will still have the satisfaction & motivations to complete the rest of the left over task. Prioritization can also ease our run & make our run a bit sleek & smooth. It acts as brakes to our out of control life, going haywire all over & all across.

Something’s are more equal than being just equal. So some things perhaps take more priority over others, & they probably should. But don't forget to enjoy, & relish the beauty around. Beauty is in everything around. Cherishing & Adoring the beauty around in this fast paced race will not only make the passage smooth, but also give unforgettable memoirs to keep for times & ages to come.

Amarnath Yatra & the Story Behind

According to Hindu Mythology, God (Parameshwar) has three deities who carry on the world. This is also known as Holy Trinity. Brahma- the creator, Vishnu - the perpetuator of life and Shiva (Mahesh) -the purifier and perpetuator of good and destroyer of evil. Shiva’s power were beyond imagination, & much mightier than any other Lord. Such were his powers that all Gods would rush to him, if other Gods were in a big trouble. Lord Shiva would then open up his third eye (Trinetra), & do a Tandaav. Tandaav is known to be the dance of anger & fury that that would eventually destroy the wrong doer or the things associated with it. The Taandav would cause high tides, torrential rains, land slides, earthquakes & volcanoes, mountains to falter, floods & other catastrophes. Shiva is believed to be the strongest of the gods, & also believed to be very giving.

It was in the Amarnath Cave where Lord Shiva explained secrets of immortality and creation of Universe to Maa Parvati. The story goes like this. Maa Parvati asked Shiv Ji to let her know why he puts the Mund Mala (beads of heads) around his neck. Bhole Shankar replied “Parvathi you are not immortal, so whenever you are born I add one head in my beads, & so on”. Maa Parvati said,” My Lord, my body is destroyed every time and I die again and again, but you are immortal. What is the reason behind it?". Bhole Shankar replied “I am immortal because I know the secret of the Amar Katha”.

Maa Parvati kept on insisted that she be told that secret story “The Amar Katha”. For long Shiv Ji postponed giving one reason or the other. Finally on consistent demands from Maa Parvati he made up his mind to narrate the secret of life & death & the secret of immortality to Maa Parvati. He started off to a lonely place where no living being could listen to him or the Amar Katha. Finally Shiv Ji came across the Caves of Amarnath. To be sure that no one will overhear him narrating the story to Maa Parvati he left his Nandi (the Bull – Shiv Ji’s carrier) at Pahalgam (now called Bail Gaon). At Chandanwari he released the Moon from his locks. He released the snake around his neck at the banks of Lake Sheshnag. He left his Son “Maha Ganesh” at Mahagunas Parvat (Mahaganesh Hill). At Panjtarni, Shivji left the Five Elements behind - Earth, Water, Air, Fire and Sky. Shiv Ji is also the Lord of all these elements that make up the entire universe.

To ensure that no living being is able to hear the immortal tale, he created Rudra named Kalagni and ordered him to spread fire to eliminate every living thing in and around the Holy Cave. Bhole Shankar entered the Cave of Amarnath along with Maa Parvati & took his Samadhi on the Tiger Skin & began to concentrate. After this he began to narrate the secret of immortality to Maa Parvati “Amar Katha”. But as a matter of chance one egg which was lying beneath the deer skin remained protected, & it hatched. Nothing could destroy it, not even the Rudra, since it was protected by Lord Shiva’s Asan of Tiger Skin. The pair of pigeons which were born out of this egg listened to the immortal story while Shiv Ji was narrating it to Maa Parvati & hence became immortal. Many pilgrims even today report seeing a pair of pigeons, even at such a high treacherous altitude & in adverse weather conditions.

The holy cave of Amarnath is situated in the state of Jammu & Kashmir in India. The holy cave consists of a big stalagmite of ice formed naturally in the cave of Amarnath. I should not call the ice Lingam as a stalagmite, as it is the Lord Shiva itself, in his another Avtaar. Cool, transparent & powerful as he really is. The Lingam gains its full shape of the form of the Lingam during the summer months of May to August. This is yet another miracle that the Lingam gains its full shape during the summer months, while as it should have been the other way round. Adjacent to Lord Shiva's Lingam are two other Lingam's that are of Maa Parvati & Lord Ganesha.

Amarnath Cave is situated in a narrow gorge at the farther end of the Lidder Valley at an altitude of 3,888 m (12,760 ft) above sea level. The terrain is rugged & the climate makes it more of a penance to reach the pinnacle or the cave. Oxygen as you near the Cave also reduces, & causes breathing problems. The weather is chilly & even goes as low as -5o C. There are frequent snow storm, & chilling cold. The devotees still trek the arduous route & battle the weather to pay their obeisance to the Lord. The original name of the tirth yatra, was Amareshwara. It was later coined as Amarnath Yatra. This name is derived from the terms “Amar” & the “Nath”. Amar meaning the Immortal & the Nath is referred to the Lord Shiva, hence the name Amarnath.

It is mistakenly said that the Cave of Amarnath was discovered by a Shepherd, roughly some 150 years ago, when his sheep loitered in the rough terrain, & he went out in search of them. But that is not the fact. Existence of the Lingam & the Cave finds its reference in texts as old as the Nilamata Purana. Nilamata Purana (v.1324), a 6th century Sanskrit text depicts the religious and cultural life of Kashmiri Pandits, & has reference to the Holy Cave in it. The Cave’s existence also finds its reference in the texts like “Bhringish Samhita” and the “Amarnatha Mahatmya”. Pilgrims have been having the darshans of the Holy Amarnath Cave since the 12th century. The shrine & is existence is believed to be 5,000 years old.

There are 2 routes to reach the shrine. The older & the primary route is long, & Devotees generally take this 42 km long pilgrimage on foot from the town of Pahalgam, and cover the journey in four to five days. The shorter route is from the town of Baltal.
The Pahalgam route is as Pahalgam <>(16kms)<> Chandanwadi<>(3kms)<> Pissu Top <>(kms)<> Zoji Bal<>(kms)<> Naga Koti <>(9kms)<> Sheshnag <>(kms)<> Warbal <>(5kms)<> Mahagun stop <>(kms)<> Pabibal <>(6kms)<> Panjtarni <>(kms)<> Sangam <>(3kms)<> Amarnath Cave.
The other route is the newer shorter route from Baltal<>(2kms)<> Domail <>(5kms)<> Barari <>(4kms)<> Sangam <>(3kms)<> Amarnath Cave.
About 400,000 people visit the shrine every year, & the number of devotees keeps on rising every year.

All Salute the Rising Star

It is said that all is relative. Someone rightly said, the more the riches the more the relatives one has, & the lesser you have, the more people shy away from you. It is a materialistic world full of different jinxed people, some jinxed with wealth, others with ego, & the rest going crazy over their swanky dreams. The feeling or the pinch to be great is the most dominant amongst them all. This greatness comes in the form of popularity, money or some other package that looks glitzy, glamorous & gorgeous, making you feel the same way. Once you have these, you are recognized & well accepted by the society.
Stars keep on hovering over us, in the eternal space. These stars even though look insignificant for any human causes, are great in their own way. They are insignificant & of not any use, because we don’t extract any benefit from these stars. Except for some catastrophes like, flares, pulsars & the magnetic emissions from these heavenly bodies, that in turn keeps on disrupting the delicate balance of our mother earth. The Stars are born from a dormant zero value, just like humans. They grow big, start to shine & spread out light. The bigger the star the more it has the tendency to outgrow its neighbors, the shine of those adjacent neighbors slowly but steadily fades away.
The life cycle of humans is more or less like the life cycle of stars. The humans also tend to struggle in their lives, to strive & stride for their goals. The human nature is to slog it hard, toil it & soil et al to achieve even the unachievable & the unthinkable. This way we humans achieve our big feats & conquer big mountains. This is the dawn, a new beginning. A new horizon, a new peak in the life. Dreams get realized & the targets are met. With the turmoil’s and uprisings inside, man keeps on going with his whimsical dreams & unquenched desire for more. Many a sacrifices go into this making of the success. This success has no calling card, no address, & one has to chart out his own strategy & game plan to achieve the so called an elated feeling of “success”.
Success is all his, along with the pain, sorrow & tears. There are some times that are the valleys in this elated feeling. At these times if man peeps inside for some introspecting, can see it easily, as at these grim times his heart is the truest reflection of his mind & vice versa. He relishes his success calls along with his stumbling failures. He has the humility to accept his faults in the failing & tough times, & a jovial cheerful mood in the triumphant times of his life. They tend to become part & parcel of his life, just like 2 tracks of a railroad. He adapts, evolves & adjusts to his new way of life. He tries not to leave anything as a void, & tries to accomplish all that comes for his perusal. These tough times try him even more, wear him even more to bring out the complete, fine, polished man in him. He becomes stronger & an idol of idealism for others. It takes a lot of penance to keep the mind on track. In these circumstances the person becomes known to all the people around, all for good reasons. Everyone salutes the new born hero. It is rightly said that,"Don’t look down upon the people, on your way up!!Because you may have to look up to the same people, on your way down”.
So a person in the positions has to maintain his humility, leave the ego & be good to all & one around. The times however may not last forever. It goes well to say that nobody likes to see the sun setting (Dawn), even though it too has its serenity & charm. Nobody ever comes to see how much a student toils for 364 days of the year. However, what everybody comes to see is how much that student scored on the 365th day. If he has scored well, everyone praises his fruitful results, & if it is the other way round, it creates nothing more than a furor with a bad taste. It goes on to say that everyone salutes the Rising Star. They flourish from their stage of infancy to full blown out growth eventually to fade out one day in this vast universe of rising & falling star.

There was a Time .. .. ..

There was a Time when we all were Together
Sharing our Thoughts & Lives, that we will do forever n ever
Surrounded by Happiness & Love of the Dears
Life went on, like that for those wonderful Years.

Priorities & needs, everything was fixed
Nothing could make out Love & Feelings Jinxed
We were different beings, but connected to a Single Soul
We were all the same, but we had different Goals.

We were happy in our own small way
Managing with whatever was there whether Bread or Hay
Not thinking of the riches other people had
Cause these Riches, we thought we could never have.

Ma & Pa cared forever, sacrificing everything that they had
Irrespective of the conditions, whether Good or Bad
The time that they lost in their Lives
Can’t be bought back, even for the Zillions of Dimes.

Resources were scarce, & at time conditions tough
But they made it sound easy, with a brief sigh
Packed in the room, in our Double Beds
Ma would cuddle us as if we were her Cubs.

Dad stayed far, but not far from our Hearts
He was always there in out Thoughts
I sometimes wished he were a Bird, who could Fly by
To say to his Kids to say just a simple “Hi”.

He used to transit up & down in the cold & the heat
His presence just made us all feel great
He would be a guide & a teacher
Laying strong foundations for our Brighter Future.

He would rarely scold, & even if he did, it was for Good
He was the Support System of our Childhood
Ma as usual would always be concerned
We would make sure not to cause her any discern.

At times we were rough as all children are
Acting as Brats & waging Ferocious Wars
But with intervention of Mom, It was a peaceful Ground
With no more Battles & wars to mound.

To persuade Ma was a very simple task
All we needed to do, was going on a Hunger Strike
Ma regularly visited School & got the essential Feedback
To make us bridge on our Voids & Gaps.

We always kept in our Hearts, the sacrifices of our Parents
Going in our making
Our Parents in disguise were busy, shaping moulds for our Lives
So that we could be whatever we desired.

There was a time when we just dreamt
Dreamt to the extend where the Horizons were
In search of these Horizons we discovered many Rainbows
But during this venture we got many bruises on our Knees

The times that we lost can never be bought back
Those times were precious & seem like invaluable now
But maybe that’s how Life goes on
There was a time when we………………………………

Ironical yet True (Gods & Demons)

The Lord surveyed the Ram Setu and said "Hanuman, you and your vanara sena had built this bridge several centuries back with great diligence and devotion. It is remarkable that it has withstood the ravages of the climatic and geographical changes over centuries. It is indeed an amazing feat especially considering the fact that a bridge at Hyderabad built by Gammon using latest technology collapsed the other day even before they could stick the posters on its pillars." Hanuman with all humility spoke "Jai Sri Ram, it is all because of your grace. We just scribbled your name on the bricks and threw them in the sea and they held. No steel from TISCO or cement from Ambuja or ACC was ever used. But Lord, why rake up the old issue now?" Ram spoke "Well, Hanuman some people down there want to demolish the bridge and construct a canal. The contract involves lot of money and lot of money will be made. They will make money on demolition and make more money on construction." Hanuman bowed down and said "Why don't we go down and present our case?" Ram said "Times have changed since we were down there. They will ask us to submit age proof and we don't have either a birth certificate or school leaving certificate. We traveled mainly on foot and some times on horseback and so we don't have a driving license either. As far as the address proof is concerned, the fact that I was born at Ayodhya is in itself under litigation for over half a century...If I go in a traditional attire with bow and arrow, the ordinary folks may recognize me but Arjun Singh may take me to be some tribal and, a the most, offer a seat at IIT under the reserved category. Also, a God cannot walk in dressed in a three-piece suit and announce his arrival. It would make even the devotees suspicious. So it is dilemma to say the least." Hearing this Hanuman said" I can vouch for you by saying that I personally built the bridge." Ram nodded his head in a No and said "My dear, Anjani putra, it will not work. They will ask you to produce the lay-out plan, the project details, including financial outlay and how the project cost was met and the completion certificate. Nothing is accepted without documentary evidence in India. You may cough but unless a doctor certifies it, you have no cough. A pensioner may present himself personally but the authorities do not take it as proof. He has to produce a life-certificate to prove that he is alive. It is that complicated." Hanuman sat with a look of disbelief and agitation as he said “Lord, I can't understand these historians. Over the years you have given darshan once every hundred years to saints like Surdas, Tulsidas, Saint Thyagaraja, Jayadeva, Bhadrachala Ramdas and eve Sant Tukaram and still they disbelieve your existence and say Ramayana is a myth. The only option, I see, is to re-enact Ramayana on earth and set the government records straight once for all."Lord smiled "It isn't that easy today. Ravan is apprehensive that he may look like a saint in front of Karunanidhi. I also spoke to his mama Mareecha, who appeared as a golden deer to tempt Sita maiyya when I was in the forest and he said that he won't take a chance of stepping on earth as long as poachers are around!!!"

Human Trafficking

All men are created equal. That may hold true physically with all the men with 2 ears, 2 eyes, 2 limbs & 2 hands, the handicapped been the exception. But does that hold true in the real sense of life wherein a man sleeps in his cozy bed, & the other is pulling a cart, so that goes to say that, some men are more equal than being just equal. All the people are not born with a golden spoon in their mouth, some are not even lucky enough to have a clean glass of water, leave alone a well balanced diet.
Some have to go through things that are even worse than slavery, bonded labor. It’s the human trafficking & their use as sex puppets. It is a global menace that is haunting all the Governments, the people & the society, the world over. It’s an evil that is eating up even the healthy chunk of the society. It is inhumane & unethical. It is not just that, it is a problem that is haunting the immigration authorities of many countries. It is a massive task for them to ascertain who is crossing boundaries with a purpose & who is being sold as a goat to b butchered in one way or the other. Who is there for purpose of Business, & who is there for Business purpose. Trafficking has a major share that contributes to the flesh trade, & a chunk of it as the Labor, that is available cheap, other fraction is the use of people for illegal & illicit trade practices. This strata of people is underpaid & exploited. They just don't get battered physically, but also mentally. It not kills their body, it also kills their soul. They had no past, have a pathetic, resentful & horrible present, & absolutely no future. Trafficking also is one of the root causes of the spread of the Sexually transmitted Diseases (STD's) & AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome), & other diseases. AIDS is on a spread like a forest fire that has no cure till date. It has consumed millions of lives, & whopping amount of money in search of some cure for it.
More haunting than this is that there is no rehabilitation for these people who are trafficked across International boundaries. There are no international laws applicable to keep a check on it. Human Trafficking is a multi billion dollar industry that runs under the wraps of the mafia. The future of the innocent girls who are forced into it, is doomed with no future. The local politicians & the people, who have power, money & insatiable greed for power, money & sexual pleasure, support trafficking. There are many a sex rackets because of this that is haunting the society like a black cloud hovers over to give only limitless darkness. Sex is illegal in most of the nations of the world still the Red Lights dwell there, & grow like a hive, which will eventually only sting the society. They are still operating so as to mint money from them, & also to keep crimes like rapes, & molestation under check.
Trafficking is an international problem, for which all the Governments need to join hands, & show the willingness to cooperate to fight this menace. Trafficking has many a forms as Labor Trafficking, Trafficking for Sex & Child Trafficking. Labor trafficking occurs when the insatiable, unscrupulous employers, take advantage of the loop holes in the law, to use & abuse the vulnerable strata of the society. Future of these people leads directly to dire straits, & they work in inhumane & unhygienic conditions. They are forced to serve as androids, for hours without any food or water. These people become the soft targets of the employees because of their poverty, illiteracy, innocence, unemployment & other evils that still haunt many a societies around the globe. Child Trafficking is the recruitment of children below the age of 18, to exploit them for domestic work, or work in a production house. There is unlawful recruitment of children either on a small scale or a large scale, through force, deception, fraud, to be exploited as labor or as sex toys. These children are also used in the mining industry, where there is a lot of danger of poisoning & watering of the mines. Employment opportunities also wait for them with open bait in combat zones, where they are used to serve the military, & also used as sex puppets in such area. These children may be picked up, adopted or bought from their parents or caretakers, who in dire need of money, make sacrifice of these small souls. Children trafficked are also prone to sexually transmitted diseases. These children are also brain washed to wage a war against the transnational armies, but unscrupulous elements of the civil world. To sum up Human Trafficking is a crime against humanity. It should be made severely punishable under law, so as to put a terminator to it.

Relationships

Some of us are the idealistic ones who don’t outgrow our teenage emotions, to the extend that we vow to remain single till we find that someone special. This is further fuelled by the romantic imaginations, tales of undying love. Hence they sail through the riff & raff, the superfluous partners because they actually strike gold. Concept of soul mates starts when one is relatively young, & the hormones are activated, leading to romantic thoughts. But it dies down as one gets older, & the practicalities take over. The ones that don’t grow up, & are flexible with the relationships, are the ones that face maximum problems in their relationships. None is perfect & one has to accept that when it comes to choosing your partners.
There are about 29 hormones that determine a couple’s Compatibility Quotient, they are as Religious Values, Ambition & Energy Levels etc. You may have the best Sex of your life, & share a blazing chemistry with your partner, who may not necessarily make you happy, in other ways of life. But you have to prioritize in your life, what do you need a perfect mate at 99.99 % compatibility & desirability level else a partner that is easy to find with a compatibility of greater than 75 %.
Its time to make a change & a decision.

Rape Kills Body & Soul Both

I was going one Day
All alone my way.
With nobody around
To show me the way.

The way was bad,
& some fear I had.
Planting my Feet with Great Care,
I went on with great Fear.

Lights out of Sight,
Noting seeming to be Right.
With a Far Great Fight,
I kept Trudging, All Night.

Wait,,,,,,,Something there I saw,
Holy God, Was it someone’s Jaw.
My Heart Skipped a Beat,
& I prepared for the Retreat.

In my Mind I thought,
What If, It’s a Predator with his “Prey Caught”.

And there he was, with the Wink of an Eye,
Caught in the Deafening Silence, No Hello, No Hi.
A dark Image, Just moving towards me,
My Throat Strangulated, I couldn’t even Scream.

The Giant Robust Body advanced a Foot Near,
Staring me directly in my Eye.
Without moving a part, He said, “Fuck u Tonight”,
My legs Froze still, Worst was to be my Plight.

His Heavy Hands fell on my Shoulder,
I felt as if, I stuck a Boulder.
Those heavy Hands then Pulled me Close,
& out of my Mouth a Shout rose.

Something stuck me hard, on my Face,
& I kept on Wondering, “ What’s happening – (In amaze)”.

Terribly Man became a Horrifying Animal,
Humanism in him was Dismal.
He had lost all his Sense,
& there was nothing for my Defense.

In a fit of Rage & Thirst,
What he did was, “Worser than the Worst”.
By Raping me over & over again,
My Sanctity I Lost, that I never can regain.
My whole body withering with Pain,
I am losing my consciousness, I am going Insane.

When I woke up from the deep slumber,
The scene I saw was all Gory,
I was Drenched in Blood,
I cried for Man, I cried for Manhood.
.

I tried Getting up, but was Devastated,
I tried to Move, but was Bayoneted,
I tried to Organize, but was Shattered,
I tried to Breathe, but was Asphyxiated,
I tried to Speak, but was Strangulated,
I tried to Think, but was so Frightened,
I tried to Perceive, but my Mind was Blocked.

Things changed then on,
I kept on forlorn..
Exploited physically,
My Soul Tampered.

Feelings Lost.
Sentiments Crushed.
No motivation to live,
In the World So Harsh.

Rape killed my Body,
Rape killed my Soul.

Love Feeling Relation

It was a Bright June sunny day & the first Day of my college. Everything there was new, new Face’s, new Teacher’s, new Beginning’s & the spectacular new College Building. It was a refreshing break from the Monotonic School Life, No Uniform, No more Homework & some Freedom from the Parents too. In the Lunch Break I came out with a new Pal to look around the campus. There were some seniors surrounding the new students & many more moving here & there carefree. One Senior Student came to us & asked for our Intro, Told us to sing some Songs & Crack a Joke. Meanwhile Some more Students surrounded us & asked us to say some obscene things, But this Guy dared everyone to behave, & asked us to leave.
That night I kept on thinking only about this guy. Next day of the College was normal since Ragging was banned & the next whole month passed on like normal. My eyes would often search for that guy but I could see him only 2 - 3 times. It was the Exam Result’s day for the seniors & some Karun Verma had topped the University & the College, that too by a Margin of 10% than the 2nd Topper. The seniors came out in the Ground with that guy on their shoulders & someone shouted “Karun Break all the Records”. “Ooooh My God, that Guy is the Topper” I said to myself. Now I could get what was so Unforgettable about him, His Charismatic face, the Shine in his Eyes & the smile he always used to carry on his Lips, as someone carries his Wallet in his Pocket.
I was so excited about him & that Day not one moment went, without his thought. I felt myself being pulled towards him Like a Magnet. I began making friends with the seniors in his class, Karun was a gem of a guy, all the girls in the college loved him deep inside their hearts. He was Handsome, Dressed Decently & Talked very softly. He used to spend most of his time in the Library & remained till late in his lab’s doing Experiments keenly. Soon I decided, I had to talk to him & make Friends with him. So one day I waited for him in the Lab Corridor, he came from the Lab very late but didn’t see me. I interrupted him from the back “Hi Karun”. He turned back & Hailing a Smile said “Hi, How are you doing?”. I said “I am fine. (After a Pause I said) Karun you owe me something”. He asked “What?”. I said “ Karun that day the Ragging was very painful & you owe me a nice treatment now, so join me for a Coffee”.
He thought for a moment & without being apprehensive said, “Fine Let’s go”.
He went on to get his Bike But I insisted that we walk. He discussed everything, His Background, His Likes Dislikes, & the Studies in the college etc, looking straight in my eyes, & there I was just Staring at him & Adoring his Persona from Inside. We sat there talking for a pretty long time & then he told me that it was his Exam Tomorrow & that he spared this time because he didn’t want to hurt her Feelings again. I insisted that if he would have told me, we could have gone some other Day. I called him up in the evening & asked about his Preparations & he was a lot Confused & Bit tired too, so I consoled him to keep his Cool & do as much as he can. Luckily he fared well in the Exams & Thanked me for comforting him during Preparations.
From that day on we would talk for a long time, Discuss, Crack Jokes & finally leave. But I was falling badly in Love with him, I would Wake Up thinking about him, Sleep Thinking about him, Dress the way he would Like. The twinkle in my eyes, and the smile on my lips never Dried as long as I thought about him. It was the Friendship day in the college, I wanted to say a Lot but couldn’t dare say it all. After the College was over he called me & asked me to meet at the cafeteria & gave me a Rose, with a note saying “I never intend to hurt anybody, but if in any way I hurt you, I am really very sorry”. I was overwhelmed & couldn’t resist the feelings inside anymore, Tears rolled down my cheeks, I stood up & hugged him hard so as to never let him go. He comforted me & in a Whisper I said “Karun I love you”. He was Startled at first, & he backed off, saying “I think you are not mature enough to restrain yourself from falling off into such a Stupid thing, I have no time for it. My career is my First Priority & nothing can come in between, Not even you”. I was shackled & in pure shambles. My whole world came to a Standstill, & I felt as if the Land had swayed off from, below my feet. But I took my time to reset myself & move on with my Life. But in some Space of my Heart I had this feel that there is something still left out.
I rarely saw him 15-20 times till December. January screwed us in the Exams & College Reopened. On Valentine’s Day I got a message from someone, to meet in the Lab Corridor at 6:45, I tried to ignore but something inside, made me go there. I was waiting in the Lab Corridor & someone from my back said “Hi”. I turned back to see Karun Standing there, with his usual Charisma & Fervor, but he was carrying this unusual smile on his face. I said “Hi Karun How are you doing”. He reiterated “I am not fine, I hurt you again that day in the café & since then I have not been able to forgive myself. I thought of you & now, I not only respect you but I also Love you Priya”, handing over a Rose & Chocolates to me. He opened his arms inviting me to sink in them & I fell deep into them with tears in my eyes. That day we talked & talked. I was the happiest person on earth, having found all that I desired. Just being with him gave me this sense of security that nothing would ever go wrong.
It kept going on like this for a long time thereon, everyone knew of our Love, some Girls were even jealous of me. Karun was aggressively Ambitious & belonged to a very Rich family too. He finished College & Joined a Very Big MNC as a Researcher & did his Masters along with. He grew fast in the Co. & rose to the post of Company Group Leader, but his Job was very Monotonic, Managing all the things for his Group, while he wanted to do some Hands on work. Even I finished College in between & joined a Small co. in Research.
One day out of the Blue, he Popped up the big question, "Girl, will you marry me?". Marry You!!!! Gosh, I've been waiting for it for so long now, & this man here is asking me “will you marry Me”. It was the second happiest day of my life, My Joy knew no bounds. Initially Karun’s Parents were opposed to the Match since Karun Belonged to a very Rich Family, But Finally they agreed after meeting me. The marriage was fixed for 5.April.
Karun being dissatisfied with his Job began searching for some way-out for his Potential to be Exploited & sooner a Job offer from America along with a Green card Visa Came in handy, this was Core Research Work. That’s what Karun had always wanted to do. He had to leave on 1.August & it was Impossible for him to Delay it no matter what may come. He asked me to get married to him in a Small Temple & Move permanently to America. But maybe he was being Selfish & Blind Folded by this Tempting Job Offer. His parents Tried convincing him to Stay back & Look after the Family Business, But He would listen to nobody. I was the only daughter of my Parents & was closely attached to them, so they wanted me to stay in the same town after getting married. I asked Karun to reconsider his decision, but he was Very Apprehensive to answer me back & left out in a great Hurry. It was known to me that, Career was his first Priority. He decided to leave. Without giving a Thought to my Love, my feelings & our Relation & leaving behind everything that he had gathered in the past 25 Years. My whole world crashed in front of my eyes & I could do nothing, but Stand Helpless.
So he left & once again he bruised my heart, but I without saying a word, smothered in this pain & choked myself when I would get the Fits of Crying. Sometimes a Tear would Roll Down my Cheek, or the Moments we spent together would come in Front of me, freezing me, Incapacitating & Parallalizing me. Something inside me was very hollow & was biting me. But Life went on. There was none with whom I could share this Pain. I loved him and if he had loved me he would have compromised, but he didn’t. I thought from Inside maybe my Love was not that Strong so as to make him stay back. But Slowly & Steadily I learned to live up with the whole Situation & came to terms with my Life.
It was Thursday, September11, I came back from my office pretty early & switched on the TV, & to my shock what I saw was that the Twin Trade Centers had been attacked. I stopped for a moment & recollected - Karun’s Office too was in the Trade Centers. I called up His Parents, they were in the middle of some party & totally ignorant about it. I told them every thing, they Confirmed that Karun’s office was in the Trade Center. I asked them to confirm about Karun’s well being. It was too noisy in the party & the noises on the phone made me go crazy. In a Fraction of a Seconds, all the Good Times we spent Together, Flashed in front of my Eyes, I was in Deep Pain, & Tears Rolled down my Cheek. After 10 minutes I called his Parent’s again, & they told me that his Mobile was Unreachable. Next day his parent’s received a call from the Indian Embassy in America that Karun was in the Trade Center when the Accident took place, & that Karun had stayed in his Office for the past 3 days doing his work that was always his First Priority.
I always wish that he was here for Me to See, Love, Adore, Talk, Share my Ups & Downs. After all life is not all about ambitions, making it Big & Prioritizing your work more than Your Love, Your Family & Your Friends.

My Life in Korea - A Preview

Hi everyone. Drafted this Blog Account for Storing & showing my Kind of stuff, this I wanted to do for a long time now. I am here in Korea.South Working as a R&D Engineer looking after the aspects of Hardware Integration & Software Development for an LCD TV in LG Electronics. Life in here is good, awesome, We here (8 Guys) have a ball every weekend having all the masti, all the fun, doing loads of shopping (Even though it is very Expensive here), Working it out on the Chicks. Sure every guy here has some Chick reserved for himself "Yeh Meri waali hai, Yeh teri waali hain" As if "Ghar ki Kheti hain". The gals here are very Fair Skinned & totally Chikni Bole to Baap. Parr "Santaap" (Lochha/Problem) Yeh hai ki unko English bahut Kamm aati hain. Not to conceal, a gal Propsed me, But I don't want to fall in any Commited relationship here, "Wham Bham Good Bye Maam" so for now I haven't commited anything to her. She is quite innocent, not one like those "Chaalu" Girls, Good Natured & Warm Hearted. So I have to give it a good Brain Churning Thought, before I go on further, with anything. We chaps often go to the Pubs on weekends or some other Breakaway Place to have usual masti, One guy Puneet after getting drunk approaches the Girls in the Pub & he is Fultoo Mast like a Mast Haathi(Elephant), the Girls Behave nicely so does he, but if he asks the girl out on a Date & the Girl refuses all he thunders is: 'Fuck You'... But he says so with a Smiling Face, & with no Gumption, so the Girl also Laughs it away.

Ram Setu – Faith, Trust & Belief

I sometimes am forced to believe that I am living in a nation where being majority is a crime, & more than that being a Hindu is a crime. Does the government dare to raze a mosque or some ancient Moslem monument to ground. NO they can't do that, as that will give rise to a hue & cry by the minority Moslems. Why is that, the Hindus are made the Scapegoats all the time, so as to be butchered? Its because the Hindu Vote Bank does not count for the government, just because the Hindus are not unified. But does it give the government any liberty to play with the sentiments of all Hindus?

It is ironical that a government which changes the metro rail route to protect the Qutub Minar, built with the construction material of destroyed temples, is destroying a unique symbol of national identity that has been there for the past 17,25,000 years, and an icon well preserved in our minds. Even a child knows that a bridge was built by the Lord Rama & his army to march into Lanka to rescue Sita and destroy the evil regime of Ravana. Ram Setu is a symbol of faith for the Hindus & holds both religious & mythological importance for Hindus. It is the path of virtuousness, & truth that God tread to win over the evil. How can anyone let the monument of such stature be damaged. The description of the bridge between India & Ceylon can be found in a lot of ancient Texts like Ramayna by Kalidasa, which puts it forth the same way as is shown by the NASA Satellites. Also its presence is reminiscent in one of the World's greatest epic Mahabharta. Apart from this it has mentions in numerous other religious & historical texts.

Strategic Importance of the bridge (Setu in Hindi) is that the US wanted the Indian Government to declare the Historical Sea Waters around the Setu as the International Sea Waters, so that commercial liners can traverse through this International Seawater. The Setu is like a divide that, that separates the sea into two parts hence, it decelerates the wrath & the force of the Tsunamis that arise in the Indian Ocean. Any alterations to the Setu, will not only disturb the ecological imbalance in the region but will also affect the fish catch of the Coastal fishermen. Also the Coral Reefs in the area will be disturbed, hence leading to their gradual extinction from the region.

The idea behind the Setu Samudram Project (The Bridge of the Sea) is to link Palk Gulf and Gulf of Mennar by making a shipping canal through Rameshwaram Island. But the Government could have averted the damage to the Bridge by taking an alternate route without damaging the Ram Setu. The route is between Mandapam and Dhanushkoti. This will not only give a shorter route for navigation but also protect the oldest heritage. The cost of fuel that will be saved in one year by making a gap in the Setu will be 21 crores per annum. But the cost of the project is a whopping 2400 crores. As per the calculation the project isn't feasible cost wise, as it will take 115 years to reap the benefits of making the cut in the bridge. 21 crores x 115 years = 240 Crores, the actual price of damaging the 17,25,000 years old man made structure. Being destroyed just for the sake of some coins.

The Solution to the problem clearly lies in the alternate route between Mandapam and Dhanushkoti, for the navy & commercial ships to commute through the channel, without any alteration of any kind to the Setu. There has been no transparency on the way the Indian Government has dealt with the Project till now, keeping everything under wraps, & when the lid was blown off, all of a sudden, it was supposed to create a hue & cry, just the way it has. Now to keep the Good will live amongst the people of India, the Government of India, should ensure that no damage is caused to the faith & religious sentiments of its people by taking the alternate route. The Current expenses to the tune of 2400 crores, can be bought down considerably by assigning alternate path, & can be used for other important issues that are haunting India as of now, poverty, hunger, illiteracy, epidemics, & many other such daunting issues. The Drilling on the project started 28.July, & till date 11.Sept, 25% of damage has been done to the current pass route. The Drill machine that is being used in the project is named as "Jai Hanuman", a Machine named after the biggest follower & devotee of Lord Rama. How ironical!! This again is a gimmick to ridicule the Hindus.
Two such drills have broken down while doing the drilling operation, & that is a sure sign from God, to stop this frenzy & madness.

Ram Setu is a monument of faith, trust & belief. Shaking or breaking the monument will be like shattering the faith of the Hindus, & faith once shattered or battered cannot be bought back.

Videos of the Setu's existence can be seen here :

Work Satisfaction

The major motive for completing education is to be self dependent, & sufficient in atleast the basic necessities of life. If you are amongst the lucky ones you tend to get these amenities of life, & get to enjoy the life to the fullest, that others less priveledged are deprived of. The aim eventually is to work, that will not only fetch you respect but also lots of booty. It is this urge & the necessity that makes us slog our lives, while in school, university & at the job. So that we can face the bleeding competition, that by all means is healthy, & ensures that the best get the best. But does that necessarily mean that life gives us back what we expect out of it. In most of the cases there will be a point blank "NO", as life with its atrocities does not give us what all we want, it takes us for a ride a number of times. We don't get what we deserve or desire most of the times, that is a fact. We are helpless too, all we can do is work towards our goals, & then it depends on the destiny & the so called luck whether we get there or not. This fire of achieving materialism or some other goals drives us towards the cutting limits of physical & mental endurance. This materialsim may not lead us anywhere, but then we can spend our lives with a lifestyle, that only most people can dream of. Only the lucky ones get to blabber about their lifestyle & materialism. But where is the so called work satisfaction, that one gets by doing, what one wants to do, or the way one wants to do something. India being a developing country has fewer chances of people working in the arena that they really wanted to work in. These people create more meaning out of their work, than the ones who unfortunately couldn't even get hands on the thing that they would have liked to be a source of their bread, butter, booze & cheese. These people come from one domain to work in another cross functional domain. A classical example of this is the people from Mechanical Engineering background joining Software Companies. The point here is that the person with a Bachelor's in Software Engineering is bound to be more successful than the one with a Mechanical Engineering Degree. The question now arises is, will the Mechanical guy working in a Cross functional software domain find peace, solace & satisfaction in what he is doing as a software engineer. He always wanted to be a part of the Mechanical world, where he could work on an engine to increase its fuel efficiency from 40% to 80%, or reduce the fiction in its mechanical parts. But here he is sitting back in his chair, & resolving the bugs in the software. He may have a thick pay packet in the software industry, that may sometime's require a truck to carry it home, but then does he have that thick sense of pride & honor in what he is doing. He always wanted to soil & toil it hard, have his hands smeared with grease & oil, oil blots on his shirt. But there he is, sitting quitely in the corner of his aircondiotioned, noise proof cabin, wearing a white shirt, & his hands on the keyboard typing the code, @ 1000 lines per day. His life has lost its meaning, its direction just for some bucks. He has made ultimate sacrifice of his solace, peace & tranquility that he woud have found in doing what he was destined to do. Sacrificing the so called work satisfaction may make some sense, when the buck is concerned. But this buck comes at a price. Price is sacrificing the work satisfaction & the internal contenment. But in the long run of this rat race for money, you may turn out to be a winner, but a loser in majority of the cases.

Armageddon / DoomsDay

Armageddon / DoomsDay

It is the year 2198...and for a while, the world was at peace. The Things are going on smoothly except for the thing that the now developed Countries (Contributing to 200 out of 210) are eyeing each other, undercover. There is a State of Cold war, wherein every country for the time being is tight Lipped, and not adding Oil to the Fire. The natural Resources are driven towards extinction, The Land is scarce to grow anything cause the Population has almost Quadrupled in the last 200 Years, the Islands have been washed out cause of the raising of the Sea Level due to the Green House Effect. The Inflation has reached a record high. Every country has a stockpile of Deadly Arms, some of which are more than enough to wipe off all Life from the Earth in a Fraction of Seconds. All nations have joined hands to one of the Three Different Group of Countries, called as the First World Countries, Second World Countries & Third World Countries. These Group of Countries have shook hands as per their Interests & unison in their ideologies. This has divided One World into three spheres. The problems at hand are driving the countries to anguish & frustration, each country wants to control & exploit the resources of its neighboring Country or some other Country. The earth is like a huge stack of dry Straw & grass that is waiting for a spark to ignite it & engulf whole of this earth like a unimaginable, unforeseen Forest Fire, that will spare none, leaving behind only Death & Smoke. Rumors are abuzz that the so & so Country is planning a serious deadly offensive, & this is on the front page of every paper, on everyone’s mind, & on everyone’s Tongue. Each Country Fears that any Country may launch the Offensive against it any time for any reason. Everyone is living in fear, & this sheer fear is driving everyone crazy. The countries are not ready to talk, cause there is nothing to talk over, only war & then winning is being seen as a solution to all the Problems haunting that nation for a long time now. Its like a dam that has been filled with so much of water that will eventually break loose & wreak havoc & destroy everything.

In the morning of 5th.Oct.2198, came the D day when it is discovered that the First World Countries are planning a massive offensive against the Third World Countries as a Result of the Assassination of President of 2 First World Countries in the past, along with the Rocket Attack on some Cities killing thousands in the Third World Countries. Missile attacked being launched by the Second World Countries. These Attacks & killing were in reprisal of the mismatched ideologies of the countries over common Issues. The Countries had prepared for the wrath & the Countries that weren’t prepared for this Armageddon were preparing fast for the catastrophic developments or else would have to perish & be removed from the face of the Earth in a flash of Light. This was a war that would incorporate Accuracy, Speed, Deception, Tactics & above all Power (the Power to bless even the immortal with Death). Soon the Skies were filled with the Fighter Planes, that made no noise at all, there were armed Robots on the Streets, the Humans were equipped with suits that would warn them & protect them from any possible dangers or any threat of attacks. The Army was positioned everywhere & the Weaponry was being airlifted into the Space, so that the Missiles could be launched from Space (Star Wars II). This War was not only to be fought on face of the earth, but also in the Extra Terrestrial Space, wherein Man had Built Artificial Colonies, wherein people would go for Holidays & experiencing the unknown phenomenon of the Space. The war toll after 15 Days : 1.5 Billion Dead, Losses worth Trillion Zillion Rupees, 8 Countries wiped off completely, Poisonous Gases & Biological Chemicals in the Air causing Deaths @ 1800 deaths per Minute, Nuclear Radiations causing Cancer Developments Fast. There are no Doctors or Hospitals available, everyone is on his own. But the war still wages on for 30 Days with the Second World Countries finally Winning over with the launch of their final resort, H Bomb, that left it with a population of 2200 men standing tall on the corpses, to rule the World that had nothing but Death, & no leftover Resources, Everything was destroyed. There was smoke everywhere, no vegetation, nothing, deep craters were left in the earth’s surface. The Oceans had started to heat to the extend that they made steam. Those who were left, also vanished within the next 6 months. Perhaps that was the end of the Days, or was it a new beginning. The Armageddon.

Life in Bangalore, Do's & Dont's

Its been a month for me here in Bangalore. The information that I provide here may be of some use to those of you who want to shift to Bangalore.

1. Different Restros are here, offering variety of food, at cheap rates too, it is hygienic, never had a problem with that.
2. Fav places to hangout are MG Road, Lal Baug, Mysore (40 Kms away), Koorg, & other picnic spots within 200kms radius.
3. Rooms are pretty expensive & landlords demand 10 times the Rent as refundable deposit. PG Accomodation is readily available for somwhere between 1500-3500Rs.
4. The Buses cover almost whole of the city. Roads are bad & so is the traffic, so start off from your destination 30 mins in advance.
5. Every Street has a marvellous building, unknowingly if u ask someone, u will get just one reply, "its a software company".
6. Software rookies & Young crowd can be seen all over Bangalore, with their respected & respective access cards hung around their necks like, the Dog's Chain (More appropriately I term it as the Kutte Ka Patta).
7. Most of people can speak Hindi, & the educated clan can speak English as well, so don't hesitate to ask for any help, if the need be.
8. Tap water is not consumable, esp for those of you, who come new to the city.
9. The climate is moderate, but the temperature here has been soaring since the past 3-4 years, credit goes to the high levels of vehicular pollution. Bangalore is 1000mts above sea level, so the climate is really enjoyable.
10. Autorikshaws may be expensive depending on the distance you travel, however insist on going only by meter, many of the meters are rigged.
U can get in touch with me at amit_shali@yahoo.com if the need be.
