Yester Today & Morrow

Yesterday was the rocky mountain
Today is much better
Yesterday I feared, in this hostility I will wither
Today I have no fears, feels lighter than the feather
Yesterday the track was carpeted with thorns & bushes
Today it has petals of rose & the soothe of the cushions
Yesterday the air was choking & the lungs smothering
Today a fresh wind of air in my hair
Yesterday the gloom shadowed my thoughts, everything seemed so dark
Today brings with it a new ray of light
Yesterday seemed to be depressing, & depriving
Today in turn is so merrier & giving
Yesterday I didn’t know, what tomorrow will be
Today that uncertainty in no more with me
Yesterday I was on my own
Today has brought with it newer responsibilities galore
Yesterday I had nobody to share me with
Today I have good friends who bring out in me, the young hidden kid
Yesterday the new venture seemed so gloomy
Today the feat of overcoming my apprehensions makes me so sunny
It all didn’t come with the flick of a finger
It took in its making sweat, tears, pain & anger
Yesterday made me experience the value of today,
I can foresee the darkness loosing its way,
Its moving away from me and slowly fading away,
The vision of tomorrow, seems pleasing to my eyes,
With every rising sun, only happiness will rise.
